Hose Master Launches New Web Site in Spanish

Hose Master has translated its new web site into Spanish.  The new site will support the company's Spanish-speaking distributor partners, engineers and end-users worldwide and offers easy access to product application and technical information.

Hose Master Product Showcase  -  Annuflex

Annuflex is the benchmark of annular stainless steel      corrugated metal hose products.  Manufactured using Hose    Master's exclusive hydroformed technology, Annuflex is the  industry standard in high-performance corrugated metal          hose products.  Annuflex is specified by engineers
for temperature extremes, chemical compatibility, permeation concerns, when potential for catastrophic failure exists, abrasion and over-bending concerns, fire safety, full vacuum and when flexibility in fitting configuation is needed.

Markets and industries that rely on Annuflex metal hose are:

The Hydroformed Difference in Metal Hose Technology

Hose Master's proprietary hydroformed technology is the most innovative process in forming corrugated metal hose.  Beginning with a high-quality strip of stainless steel, the process begins by rolling the edges together forming a thin-walled, gas-tight tube.  The tube is then seam-welded and, through a process using water (much cleaner than standard lubrication processes), the tube is corrugated hydraulically.

      Benefits of hydroforming are:

  • Uniform wall thickness
  • Precise O.D. and I.D.
  • Longer service life (less residual stress in metal)
  • Extremely flexible hose with minimal residual stress,  and minimal work hardening
  • Virtually eliminates failure caused by faulty seam welds
  • Cleanest product (manufactured using water, not oil)

Industry Review - Refineries

Hose Master products are preferred in the refinery
environment.  Refineries process crude oil products into
fuel products such as gasoline, diesel fuel and kerosene.
These processes require hose assemblies for petroleum
transfer, steam lines and the transfer of by-products and
additives associated with refining.  Corrugated metal hose is ideal for applications that require resistance to heat, corrosion or the severity of refinery service.

Examples of refinery applications that use metal hose are:

        *  Connection on Hydraulic Slide Valve of Cat Crackers - Hydraflex
        *  Gas Burner Connections - Annuflex, Masterflex
        *  Lube Lines to Pumps/Bearings - Annuflex, Masterflex, Hydraflex
        *  Lube Oil & Grease Plant Process Lines - Annuflex, Masterflex
                                                                                   Hydraflex

        *  Metering System Flex Lines - Extraflex
        *  Oil Burner Connections - Annuflex, Masterflex
        *  Stand Pipe Connections on Cat Crackers - Annuflex
        *  Steam Hose for Cleaning Tank Cars/Ships - Annuflex
        *  Steam Hoses - Annuflex, Masterflex
        *  Dock Hose - Annuflex, Masterflex

Hose Master's Controlled Room

Hose Master is one of the few metal hose
manufacturers in the world to use a "Controlled"
room for instrumentation grade fabrication. Much
like a "Clean" room, Hose Master's "Controlled"
room has limited access, high cleanliness
 standards, minimal dust and airborne
 contaminants and controlled temperatures and
humidity. The room's primary function is for precise welding preparation, fabrication and packaging. When it comes to welding techniques and fabrication expertise, Hose Master is recognized as the industry specialist.

Industries served by this level of service are:

  • Aviation/Aerospace
  • Biopharmaceutical
  • Fuel Cells
  • Food, Beverage and Dairy
  • Machine Automation
  • Military
  • Mining
  • Oil & Gas
  • Power Generation & Energy
  • Semiconductor
  • Telecommunication & IT

PEI Checklist

 Hose Master recommends routinely inspecting
all connectors. The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI)
Tank Installation Committee has produced a checklist
that is helpful to owners/operators and distributors alike.

Why We're the Best

Hose Master On-Site Training

Hose Master's team of Regional Sales Managers and Manufacturer Representatives offer technical support and on-site training to its partner distributors. This includes end-user sales calls, industry and market training, work with end-user specifications and guidance in navigating regional governmental regulations.

Hose Master Metal Hose 101

Hose Master's partner distributors have access to a unique training progam that allows company employees to gain hands-on experience in metal hose production and fabrication.  Metal Hose 101 students will learn theory of production design and applications, and have the opportunity to witness manufacturing from the receiving of raw materials through fabrication and testing.

To  sign up as a Hose Master Metal Hose 101 student, please contact Cathy Musgrave at 800-221-2319 or e-mail her.

Welder Certification

Hose Master offers a Welder's Certificate program to all partner distributors.  Welders are encouraged to submit fabricated assemblies of Hose Master's hose to its product analysis laboratory for inspection and evaluation.  Once approved, a formal certificate is issued and is valid for two years.
