Reports To: Engineering Supervisor

Position Summary

Design products to customer specifications, while adhering to industry standards.  Continually enhance designs using the latest design software and materials to deliver a highly engineered, cost competitive product of superior quality.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers (both internal and external) to understand technical requirements and resolve issues.
• Prepare technical drawings.
• Determine labor estimates.
• Source new parts to vendors.
• Run prototype parts through manufacturing.
• Design components as needed.

Qualifications

• Cad experience (preferably Solid Works).
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Good math (Trigonometry minimum) and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree preferred (BSME or Mechanical Engineer Technology).
• Ability to read precision measuring devices.
• Understand industry standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Walk up to a ¼ mile at a time.
• Bend, squat, reach as needed.
