Canadian Registration Number (CRN)

The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) developed standards for the fabrication of Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping under the auspices of CSA Standard B51-03 (Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Pressure Piping Code). This code is established to maintain agreed-upon standards of quality, performance and interchangeability and/or safety. CSA B51-03 is roughly equivalent to the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code for Pressure Piping, B31. CSA B51-03 references a variety of ASME standards and defers to “recognized North American standards” for a number of the requirements of the Canadian Standard.

A Canadian Registration Number (CRN) must be obtained for hose assemblies used in connection with any boiler, pressure vessel or pressure piping system.

Hose Master has earned CRNs for the following products and fittings as assemblies. Our CRN number is 0D12411, applies to all Canadian provinces, and expires on 31-October-2028.
