Canadian Registration Number (CRN)

The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) developed standards for the fabrication of Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping under the auspices of CSA Standard B51-03 (Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Pressure Piping Code). This code is established to maintain agreed-upon standards of quality, performance and interchangeability and/or safety. CSA B51-03 is roughly equivalent to the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code for Pressure Piping, B31. CSA B51-03 references a variety of ASME standards and defers to “recognized North American standards” for a number of the requirements of the Canadian Standard.

A Canadian Registration Number (CRN) must be obtained for hose assemblies used in connection with any boiler, pressure vessel or pressure piping system.

Hose Master has earned CRNs for the following products and fittings as assemblies:

Annuflex The standard of Hose Master’s extensive line of high performance annular corrugated stainless steel hose. Proprietary forming technology ensures the excellent cycle life of the hose, with minimum effort to flex or bend the hose.

  • ID: 1/4” – 12”
  • Alloys: T321, T316L, T304L
  • Pressure Rating: Consult Customer Service for CRN approved pressure ratings

Masterflex Manufactured using the same high quality process used to make Annuflex hose, while the number of corrugations per foot is increased to allow for greater flexibility.

  • ID: 1/4” – 6”
  • Alloys: T321, T316L, T304L
  • Pressure Rating: Consult Customer Service for CRN approved pressure ratings

ChemKing™ Chemical transfer hose. ChemKing™ offers excellent corrosion resistance in many of the most severe applications found in chemical processing.

  • ID: 1/4” – 2”
  • Alloy: 276
  • Pressure Rating: Consult Customer Service for CRN approved pressure ratings
